Love is old, love is new
Love is all, love is you

I'm staying up stupidly late because I can. So there.

New Years resolution: Watch more movies! This seems silly, I'm sure, since I watch so many. But Rob and I have "the pile" consisting of movies we've bought and not watched, or movies one of us has seen but the other has not. And after more than three years you figure it'd have shrunk, at least a little, but it's actually gotten bigger. So that is my resolution. Get the pile down to a much smaller size. And love the bomb.

Things to look forward to in 2010:
Trip to Ottawa for a Canucks game
The Olympics
Trip to Cuba
Allen's first film shoot
My first action/comedy shoot
Dana's wedding
Random road trips in the summer (PEI, Maine, New Brunswick)
Silver Wave (again)
D&D!

Hopes for 2010:
Triple gold medals and a Stanley cup (I dream big)
More film festivals to promote my film
A more permenant job for me, and for Rob
To be comfortable trying on clothes for the first time in a decade (?)
Better physical health
If we play our cards right, a house of our own

Things that made 2009 amazing:
Rob
My beautiful kitties
Spending more time with my parents than I have in the last 5 years
Baby cousins!
Friends, and family
Our house
TMA and its success at festivals
Actually liking my job, and being paid well for it
Discovering a whole new world of story telling through D&D
The Beatles

Look out world, here I come.

After a whirlwind of essay writing, Christmas break arrived.

Went to New Brunswick with the family to visit my eldest sister and niece. At 1.6 years, the niece can say a lot of words, and she loves McDonald's french fries!

My eldest sister and I were the only ones to really get anyone any presents. This also happened last year.

Halifax Folklore Centre called me to say that a black ukulele came in, so that was my Christmas present to myself. It's pretty cool, but a jam session would be ideal for showing off and practicing up for.

New Year's is almost here. It should be a drunktastic time. Partially to let go of events from the previous year, and also because I won't get much chance in the new semester once classes start up again.

Still outstanding, 2 rewrites (4 and 10 page papers) and a fair amount of reading for the first day back.

In other news, my dreams have been very strange the past couple of months. Life is a little surreal too. I imagine once classes start again, things will settle a little. Routine. Predictable, safe, but aggravating.
